La Sound Art Orchestra is an orchestra composed of musicians with different musical backgrounds, who have had the honour of playing with famous musicians and orchestras from the Italian musical scene but with a common passion for Jazz music.

The orchestra was founded two years ago by the Director and Trombonist Lino Bragantini and the President of the Foundation  

“Morelato”, Giorgio Morelato.

La Big Band has executed different concerts, which have been a success, some on occasion of important artistic and cultural events organized by the “Aldo Morelato” Foundation, in the beautiful setting of the prestigious and ancient Villa Dionisi where the Orchestra is officially seated.

The Orchestra also took successfully part in a TV show filmed at the Salieri  Theatre in Legnago, and broadcasted by Telearena with the title “Buon Natale da Legnago”.

The Sound Art Orchestra executes original arrangements and sounds of the Big Bands of the past and not only, with a repertoire which includes original compositions and arrangement by: Tommy Dorsey, Buddy Rich, Ted Heath,

Stan Kenton, Bill Russo, Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman,

John Coltrane, Joe Zawinul and many others.

The Sound Art Orchestra will present in 2009 their first CD, as the result of the first two years of co-operation.

On this occasion I would like to thank the Aldo Morelato Foundation again for giving us hospitality at Villa Dionisi and all the members of the Orchestra for their commitment and professionalism shown.
