THE RESTAURANT AND THE OTHER ROOMS

The restaurant

This homely room surrounded by the large park of Villa Dionisi was obtained from the former “limonaia”, the winter garden where lemon fruit trees were placed during winter time, after a careful architectural renovation.

The restaurant tucked away in the silence of the countryside and attached to the historical Villa, today fully air-conditioned and heated, offers room to seat 120 persons.

THE HOUSE STABLES BLOCK

This space, a typical architectural feature of the Ville Venete, originally used as storage space, stable and granary has recently been renovated enhancing the original portico structure with its tall Roman arches.

The house stables block with its beautiful green lawn is the ideal setting for buffets and brunches, cocktail parties and open bars for refined outdoor lunches. Thanks to its splendid acoustics it is particularly suitable for any form of musical entertainment after receptions.

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen is characterized by a stately fireplace, typical for this kind of manors, at the centre of the room giving a magical atmosphere to the whole space. The kitchen is particularly suitable for private and cosy diners as it has a large table to seat guests comfortably.

THE PARK

The park of Villa Dionisi, an interesting place of “joys” with a great number of superb plants and rare trees, is fully at the disposal of its guests. A stroll through the park takes the visitor to the most intimate parts of the ground cover and to the ice-house. During the walk one can sense the history and the culture of the Villa as testified by the many refined sculptures situated in the park and by the small temple with its neoclassical portico added to the building in 1815 with its four majestic Ionic columns. The whole setting of the park is enriched by a fountain which squirts its water playfully and which make the park a beautiful place for an American buffet.

THE GAZEBO

In the middle of the park close to the house stables block with space for 200 people the gazebo is the ideal place for lunch or diner and for after-diner-entertainment.

THE MANOR HALL

The manor hall situated on the ground floor of the Villa and the adjacent halls are richly decorated with paintings by Giuseppe Montanari and frescoes by Nicola and Marco Marcola.

Particularly interesting is the Alcove, designed on Gabrielle Dionisi’s commission who wanted to offer his brother, a deacon, a place where to withdraw during his short stays at the Villa. The construction is a beautiful example of fine interior design.

THE CHURCH

The chapel was constructed in 1740 and signs the beginning of the construction of the Villa which finished in 1766, with the completion of the loggia and the adjacent spaces.

The wish to have a House of God inside the Villa indicates how religious the Dionisi family was. The church as well as the rest of the halls is decorated with many frescoes and paintings forming a real cultural treasure of the Verona area.

CONFERENCE HALL

The first floor of the Villa is used as the seat of the Aldo Morelato Foundation, an organisation which promotes and supports cultural events on international level and of the Outlook on Applied Art in the furniture field, a research centre founded to enhance furniture as a form of art.

In this way the original function of the Villa as planned by the Dionisi family, as a cultural meeting place for artists and scholars, whose presence is testified by the rich library, has been taken up.
